SEVILLA VS FC BARCELONA MATCH REVIEW
This was one of the toughest fixtures of FC Barcelona in a while. The last tough team they faced was PSG in the Champions League and we all know that it was not a very pleasant game for the Blaugranas. However, the team came very confidently into this game after the win against Elche mid-week in the La Liga.
FIRST HALF
Koemann went the right lineup to attack Sevilla right from the start. Everything seemed to be on point from the manager. It has been a while since we have seen a flawless starting lineup from the boss. Anyway, the players had a very confident body language stepping into this game. There were an obvious tension and stress about this fixture. However, the players seemed to be in the right frame of mind to attack Sevilla from all ends.
The start of the game still remained very slow despite the high body language level. Both teams were keen on keeping the ball. However, there was not much intensity in their overall gameplay. It was until the 30th minute that Lionel Messi found Ousmane Dembele making a run behind the opposition defense. Dembele had a perfect touch to control the ball and found the back of the net perfectly. It was a great opening goal for the away side and a huge confidence boost for them.
The energy levels elevated after taking the lead. The team began moving more swiftly and wanted to trouble the home side even more. The team went inside the tunnel with a one-goal lead after having a decent performance against the home side. The team knew that they had to keep this lead at all costs.

SECOND HALF
FC Barcelona started the second half on a very high note. The team attacked the home side right from the get-go and looked very ambitious. The Blaugranas showed one of their best performances of the season in this game. Sevilla looked vulnerable against the visiting side. The midfield play was on point and the attack was flawless too. The Blaugranas kept creating dangerous moments and Lopeteguis’s men had no idea how to respond to that. Every player in the FC Barcelona team had amazing performance especially the attackers and the midfielders.
There were many moments when the team showed amazing displays of overall team play and created chances. FC Barcelona had complete control of the game at all times during the second half. Sevilla did look dangerous with the ball a couple of times but failed to do anything significant with it at the end. Dembele was very visible in the entire game. Not only he had goal-scoring chances, but he also created chances. His presence was very visible and he injected a lot of intensity in this game.
It was until the 85th minute when FC Barcelona got its second goal. The Barcelona youngster Ilaix Moriba was involved in the second goal as well. Both Moriba and Messi combined to play a quick one-two pass in which Messi got the ball and shot straight at the keeper. Messi got a rebound and the ball ended up at the back of the net.
