FIRST HALF
Ronald Koemann started with an unexpected lineup. He rested Lionel Messi, Frenkie De Jong and Pedri. The reason he did this was because the players were already fatigued and needed rest. However, Ronald Araujo picked up an early injury due to which he was subbed off and De Jong was brought in. Real Betis was very dangerous in the opening moments of the game. However, Clement Lenglet stood firm and kept defending in a solid manner for his team. FC Barcelona.
Barcelona had its focus on keeping the ball and dominating with possession. However, the game demanded the players to attack more and try more and more to get in front. This did not happen and FC Barcelona went inside the tunnel without scoring any goal. Real Betis got its lead and this meant that Barcelona was in hot water. All the upcoming La Liga fixtures are crucial for FC Barcelona as the title race is on its peak now and any little mistake can take them away from the title.
