PSG VS FC BARCELONA MATCH REVIEW
FIRST HALF
FC Barcelona approached this game with the right mentality. The Blaugrana are in fine form and they showed it through their first-half play. The team proved to be too good for PSG. However, they were unlucky not to score a goal. PSG was chasing FC Barcelona’s shadows for almost the entire first half. However, Pochettino’s men also managed to not concede any goal and this is what hurt FC Barcelona the most.
Kylian Mbappe added fuel to the fire by converting a penalty. PSG gained the lead and went on 5 goals on aggregate which basically summed up the entire encounter. The comeback was never on for FC Barcelona despite a dominating performance. However, Kylian’s goal put an end to whatever hopes the fans had regarding this game. Still, Lionel Messi managed to create an impact in this game. The Argentinean scored the first and the only goal for FC Barcelona. He shot the ball outside the box and scored a screamer.
Keylor Navas had no chance against that shot from Messi and therefore, FC Barcelona was able to equalize 1-1. That was still not enough as FC Barcelona needed 4 more goals in order to make it to the next. FC Barcelona got a penalty after Antoine Griezmann was fouled inside the box. However, Keylor Navas proved to be better than Lionel Messi from the penalty spot. The PSG keeper correctly checked Messi’s shot and saved the penalty.
This was the last action from the first half. The team went inside the tunnel with a lot of disappointment. It was visible from their body language and the looks on their face.
