Welcome back to TalkBarca. Our topic for today is the Match Preview of Granada vs FC Barcelona. FC Barcelona is back to face yet another away opponent. The Blaugranas previously faced off against Athletic Club at the San Mames. It was a wonderful display of football from Ronald Koemann’s men. Lionel Messi showed very positive signs of returning to form and the Blaugranas left the city with 3 very valuable points. Can they do it again against Granada?
GRANADA VS FC BARCELONA MATCH PREVIEW
FC Barcelona seems to be returning back to form. The Catalans had a very bad start to the season. However, things look much positive now and there are chances that FC Barcelona is going to compete for the title. Barca is currently 4th on the points table with 31 points. They are just 1 point behind Villareal who is sitting at the 3rd position. Atletico Madrid is at the top with 38 points meanwhile Real Madrid is in the second spot with 36 points. A win in this game is going to give 3 points to Barcelona after which they can move back on to the 3rd spot.
The opponents of this game, Granada are the 7th place on the points table with 24 points. However, Granda is impressive with its football lately. Granada also has a history of troubling Catalonia boys. Therefore, Ronald Koemann and his men must enter Nuevo Estadio with proper homework and correct planning.
WHAT TO EXPECT FROM FC BARCELONA?
There is not something very different to expect from FC Barcelona. Koemann’s planning and strategies worked against Athletic Club. Therefore, we can expect him to keep things similar. Araujo and Lenglet are likely to start as Center Backs. Jordi Alba and Sergino Dest are probably going to start as Right and Left Full backs. Furthermore, we can expect Pedri, Busqi, and De Jong to control things in the midfield. Dembele was superb in the previous game. His creativity and high footballing caliber were visible against Athletic Bilbao. Therefore, we can expect the boss to definitely start him on the wing. Antoine Griezmann can start as the striker as well. However, there is also a chance that the boss to experiment with Martin Braithwaite for this encounter. Braith has contributed to the club with unexpected goals in La Liga as well as Champions League. Therefore, we can expect him to be there in the lineup.
Lionel Messi is going to be there as well. Leo impressed a lot in the previous game and scored 2 goals. This sends out a message to every opposition that the Argentinean star might make a comeback. He had a drip in form. However, his previous performance certainly calmed all of his fans.
We can also expect Puig to get some game time. The young Spanish midfielder is extremely talented and needs to play in order to keep improving. We are still not clear why Ronald Koemann is not very lenient with him. However, one thing the boss must ensure is that Barcelona comes out of the stadium with nothing less than three points.
