Welcome to TalkBarca. This article is going to be a little different. In this article, we will be taking a look at both teams, their form, and morale before heading into this game. Moreover, we will take a look at our head to head meetings over the past few years in all competitions. For a more detailed analysis of the game, you check out our Match Preview. So, without any delay, let’s jump into action!
Granada Team Analysis:
Granda is a newly promoted team into LaLiga. They played amazing football under Diego Martínez. The Manager, Diego Martínez, have strengthened Granada Squad with young players. What’s more important is that they are not just a bunch of individual players and their heroic performances. Instead, they play as a team and have proper chemistry between the players.
Recent Form:
Granada have lost 1, drew 1, and won 2 games of their previous 4 games in LaLiga. They have scored a lot of goals in those games and look really promising in their attack. However, their defense leaks goals and that is what we would have to exploit. Granada has accumulated 7 points in 4 LaLiga games which is amazing for a newly promoted team. Most importantly, they have achieved this against good teams as you can see in the picture below.
Granada is flying at the moment, and they are full of confidence. The moral of the players and the manager is very high which can trouble us.
Barcelona Team Analysis:
FC Barcelona is the reigning champions of Spain. We are the league winners and clearly way better than Granada. Furthermore, we have the tools to hit them really hard in their home ground and secure 3 points. We are missing a few key players in our starting lineup due to injury crisis. However, we have solid backs and great depth in the squad to cover for those absentees.
Recent Form:
FC Barcelona have lost 1, drew 1, and won 2 games of their previous 4 games in LaLiga. We absolutely trashed our Real Betis and Valencia with 5-2 scoreline in each of those games. So, the shooting boot isn’t missing from our side. With Leo Messi and Luis Suarez back in the squad, we can expect great things from Barcelona. Our Midfield is going to be our greatest strength considering the quality and recent form.
Granada vs Barcelona Previous Meetings:
Barcelona and Granada have competed in 12 matches in all competitions since 2011. Barcelona have won on 11 occasions and Granada could win only 1 of these games. This clearly shows our superiority and authority in the game. Barcelona have won all 5 of their previous games including 1-4 away, 1-0 home, 0-3 away, 4-0 home, and 1-3 away.
What To Expect:
Both Barcelona and Granada have accumulated 7 points in 4 LaLiga games this season. Barcelona are just ahead of Granada on goal difference. This clearly shows how good Granada has been this season. We would have to give them respect and play up to our 100% potential. We cannot make the mistake of taking them lightly because believe me if we do, they will hurt us really bad.
Verdict:
Granada vs Barcelona seems to be one side one paper with Barcelona as favorites. However, this can be a very tricky competition and we can expect a great deal of drama right until the end of the game. Granada vs Barcelona promises to be a thriller for fans and we can expect at least 4 goals in the game.
