Welcome back to TalkBarca. Our topic for today is FC BARCELONA’S FUTURE IN LA LIGA. This topic just popped into my mind right now, and here I am discussing this with you. I just finished watching Real Madrid vs Valencia game, and Real was superb. Valencia was one of their toughest fixtures in the current situation, and they have overcome it dominantly. Real Madrid doesn’t look the same to me anymore. They look more dangerous, more lethal, and ready to destroy every competition. I even talked about Real in my previous article as well. They are better and dangerous.
This certainly does not look good for Barcelona. Why? Because Madrid’s tough phase has ended, and ours is just starting. We had 2 easy games to resume our campaign in La Liga. Madrid had comparatively tougher ones. Therefore, their win is better than our wins. Madrid is dominating. What are we doing? We nearly lost to Leganes in the previous fixture. I mean no discrimination to Leganes, but that club is on the bottom of the table. Yes, Leganes is on the 20th in the points table. It was a top vs bottom kind of game, and we nearly lost it.
Now there are going to be a few fans that are going to defend the club. They are going to say that we still won and got the points, and Lionel scored and what not? However, this is the wrong picture you guys are getting. Yes, we won. Yes, we got the points. However, we certainly lost a lot of confidence. We are not in the right morale like Real Madrid. I mentioned the confidence of their players, which is a hundred times better than us. These victories mean nothing if you do not dominate because they lower your confidence level.
FC BARCELONA’S FUTURE IN LA LIGA
Now you must be wondering what crept into me that I have started to talk about confidence and morale out of nowhere. The reason is that we have a few tough games ahead of us now. Sevilla is just the beginning of a really tough phase we are about to enter. The odds are now stacked against us. We don’t even have our full squad to feature against Sevilla. Stay tuned for the Match Preview to read about that. We have teams like Sevilla, Atletico Madrid, and Athletic Club coming right at us now.
The worst part is that we don’t even have a lot of gaps in between fixtures now. Remember our last outing against Atletico in Saudi Arabia? They knocked us out. Look at the last CL encounter of Atletico vs Liverpool. Atletico knocked out Liverpool at their home soil, Anfield. Even Athletic Club gives us a really tough time. Therefore, we not only have to win every game but also win dominantly so that we regain our confidence.
Even if we draw, points of both teams are going to level, and in case of La Liga ending with the same points of both teams, Madrid will get the trophy due to head to head rule. Winning every game is just mandatory now. Getting back our confidence is even important. I am worried. Let’s hope for the best.
Visca El Barca!
