However, this performance from FC Barcelona showed positive signs that maybe players have left it all behind and are ready to make things better for themselves. The players performed very well, and Ronald Koemann was spot on with his rotations.
Philippe Coutinho was amazing, and so was Ansu Fati. Messi is aging like fine wine and Jordi Alba is showing signs of good fitness as well. This is exactly what this current Barcelona team needs. Koemann is still looking to bring some players to the club before the transfer window ends. However, the players already present need to give their best in order to take Barcelona to the top again. Dembele, Trincao, and Pjanic look to be in fine touch as well. They performed pretty well, and they are going to be very useful in upcoming games.
Barcelona was all over Villareal, and Koemann’s football style seems to suit the Barcelona players very well. It is too early to jump to conclusions right now. However, considering this game only, Barcelona has indeed managed to show a major difference from the previous season. Koemann wants to include younger players to play for him, and this can also be one of the reasons Barcelona seems to be progressing. However, some experienced players at the back and in the midfield are also helping the young talents to perform to their full potentials. Barcelona still needs to bring new players before the window ends.
