Welcome to TalkBarca. Today, we are here with Full Month Preview of November for Barcelona including La Liga and Champions League fixtures. The month of October was really good for us in terms of results. We won all the games, both at home and away as well. Now its time to take a look at what is coming ahead of us. We have 6 matches coming ahead in November and we have prepared mini Match Preview for each fixture. Barcelona will play 3 home and 3 away games this month which include 4 La Liga games and 2 Champions League fixtures.
We have a lot to prove in these upcoming matches. Yes, we are on the top of the points table, but, the question is how long can we stay at that position. Our ego and our image are on the line. We need to win the Champions League this season. If not, we have to at least reach the finals. We can accept a defeat but cannot accept humiliation like against ROMA and Liverpool. Meanwhile, La Liga is non-negotiable, we have to win it no matter what. We have to win La Liga in order to gain the confidence boost, in order to attract star players to come and join our system, and in order to make everyone clear that FC Barcelona is still the king of Spain.
BARCELONA NOVEMBER FIXTURES PREVIEW
1- LEVANTE VS BARCELONA (Saturday 02-Nov-2019)
Levante is our first match in this month. We are going to travel away from home and this fixture is for sure going to be challenging. Considering our away performances which haven’t been really lightening, we surely have to win, but, not only win, we have to win convincingly. Just like we did against Valladolid, we have to completely dominate Levante. This match is going to kick off at 4:00 PM as per local time at Estadi Ciutat de Valencia on Saturday 02 November.
2- BARCELONA VS SLAVIA PRAGUE (Tuesday 02-Nov-2019)
Barcelona vs Slavia Prague is scheduled to kick off On 5th November at 6:55 PM as per local time in Barcelona. This Champions League clash will take place in our home Camp Nou. It’s a very important game for us in terms of living up to the standards. We were completely dominated by Slavia at their home and we have to regain our reputation in this fixture. We have to show Slavia how good we can be at our home and not only score as much as we can but, we have to win with a lot of possession. We need to win this game with dominance, nothing else.
3- BARCELONA VS CELTA VIGO (Saturday 09-Nov-2019)
On 9th November, we have another home fixture against Celta Vigo. Celta can trouble us even when playing at our home. The key in every game is to win. We have to maintain our top position in the points table and for that, we need to put in really solid performances. Real Madrid is for sure going to push a lot to win La Liga this season. Therefore, we have to give them a very solid fight. Lately, Real Madrid have been in tremendous form as well and it is now a question of anything you can do, we can do better.
4- FC CARTAGENA VS BARCELONA (Wednesday 13-Nov-2019)
Another away game and too just 3 days after the clash against Celta Vigo. Therefore, the players must be prepared for this challenge both mentally and physically. One important thing to note is that it’s just a friendly game. So, we don’t have to use our strongest Starting XI. In fact, it’s a perfect opportunity for us to rotate our squad and give rest to our key players. Moreover, our youngsters will get a chance to shine in this fixture. Ernesto Valverde must get his homework done timely. There will be a need for squad rotations and substitutions, otherwise, there will be a chance of injury. We must avoid that. Heading into the end of the season, especially towards the knockout matches of the UEFA Champions League, we cannot afford any injury or out of form players.
5- LEGANES VS BARCELONA (Saturday 23-Nov-2019)
Barcelona is heading away for an encounter against Leganes on 23rd November. The kick off for this game will take place at 1:00 PM as per local time. Again, it’s a crucial away fixture. We need to maintain a line of discipline. Our players need to take care of their fitness and training. As I mentioned earlier, injuries are unaffordable at this stage and we really need to perform our best in every game. This is a matter of pride. Our pride can only be restored when we start performing away because everyone knows how dominant we are at home. The real performance is when we go to away conditions, not knowing what to expect and then perform.
6- BARCELONA VS DORTMUND (Wednesday 27-Nov-2019)
After back to back away games, we will be welcoming Dortmund at the Champions League stage at Camo Nou. This is also our last game and the most important game of the month. The game will kick off at 9:00 PM as per local time and this is a game we need to perform in. If you remember our away encounter against Dortmund, you must have remembered how awful we played. Marco Reus missed his penalty and just because of Ter Stegen, we managed to pull off a lucky game. This is not what we want in this fixture.
Dortmund is going to come at us with a drive of revenge and they will attack us a lot. Dortmund will press us and create a number of chances on counter attacks for sure. Parking the bus against them is also not an option. Therefore, we need our players, from fullbacks to the striker, to play as a unit. We have to move forward together and drop down together. We need to win this match at any cost. This performance is going to predict how we perform against bigger teams later in the competition.
Well, this is it guys for Barcelona November Preview. Personally, I believe that we can emerge victorious in all the games. At the moment, I am not sharing my score prediction for each game. However, I will surely share it with you in the detailed Match Preview of each game. Furthermore, I think that the game against Dortmund and our back to back away fixtures can trouble us. Therefore, we must be very careful and prepared for them. What are your thoughts about these fixtures? Let us know your valuable feedback and predictions in the comments section below. Until then, Visca El Barca!
