FC Barcelona News Roundup
Atletico Madrid fine:
Barcelona is officially fined for negotiating with Antoine Griezmann when he was an Atletico player. Obviously, the entire Atletico Madrid club is infuriated about the transfer of Griezmann to Barcelona. Therefore, they have found the right time to take their rage out.
Although Barcelona paid a heavy sum of 120 million euros as Griezmann’s release clause, Atletico believes that Griezmann is worth more than 200 million euros. 0They believe that Griezamnn’s release clause was 200 Million Euros when Barcelona had agreed a contract with him. Barcelona paid the money when Griezmann’s release clause dropped to 120 Million Euros.
So, Atletico Madrid have filed a case against Barcelona and demand them to pay the remaining 80 Million Euros because they agreed to terms with Griezmann when he had a 200 Million Euros release clause. They have also accused our board of trying to trap their star player.
The court has fined Barcelona a sum of 300€. Let me say this again, Barcelona have been fined 300 Euros, only 300. This is a big irony in its own. What’s even funnier is that Barcelona can appeal against it and the court may lift this fine. This is quite a funny incident. However, the club believes that if they pay this amount they will be considered guilty. Let’s see what happens.
Injury problems:
Lionel Messi is out injured again. He has elongated the muscle injury in his left abductor. The board is not yet confirmed when he is going to be back. However, I firmly believe that Lionel will miss the action against Getafe and maybe the against Inter Milan in the Champions League.
Coming to our injury problems, there is a lot to look for in this topic. Specially we need to check if the medical staff at Barcelona is working correctly or not. This is because we have a lot of muscle injuries this season. First Suarez, then Dembele and Messi. Now, Messi again as well as Jordi Alba. Umtiti is injured as well. We need to dig deep into this issue and find out what the problem is. Is the diet of the players not checked properly? Is there a problem with the warmups? Cooldowns? Or maybe recovery sessions? We seriously need an answer.
Ansu Fati’s Dilemma:
Ansu Fati recently appeared on the front page of Sports magazine. Sports featured how Ansu Fati has got his ID card and Passport from Spain. Ansu Fati can now represent Spain on International Level as well. Speaking of the International level, there is the U17 World Cup coming up for which Ansu is very likely to go.
However, the Worldcup is starting on the same day as the El Clasico. This means that if Ansu Fati goes to the event, he is going to miss not only the Clasico but at least 4 Barcelona games. Therefore, fans demand an answer to which option will Ansu Fati choose.
The media says that Ansu claims if he is going to stay in the Barcelona A team then he will not go for the U17 WorldCup. However, if he is going to be sent back to the youth setup, then he will go to the U17 WorldCup.
Carlos Perez staying at Barca:
When the squad list against Villareal came out, the name of Carlos Perez was not there. Messi had returned and it looked like there was no place left for Carlos Perez in the A Team. However, Messi is out again and Perez is expected to be back in the team.
The club wants Perez to be part of FC Barcelona. Therefore, Barcelona have officially extended the contract of Carlos Perez with a 100million euro release clause. They have also guaranteed Perez a strong spot in the A team from the next season. His dreams are finally coming true.
Ter Stegen vs Neuer – The Battle of Goalkeepers:
Stepping out of the Camp Nou, things are heated between Ter Stegen and Neuer in the German national side. Obviously, with MATS involved this is our main concern to feature him as well. Basically, Ter Stegen is demanding that he must be given a spot in the National team. This is not something to be furious at. However, Neuer said that MATS should not be saying things like this publicly.
Furthermore, Bayern Munich president Ule Hoeness said that if Germany will not place Neuer as number 1 Goalkeeper, Bayern Munich will not send its players for the national team. What a funny and childish attitude from the Bayern manager. With Ter now potentially able to take number 1 goalkeeper place in the German team, is Neuer and Bayern afraid?
Verdict:
